Training Environment

BEST will comply with all laws relevant to the operation of the training / workplace premises including occupational health and safety and fire safety regulations and ensure that the training / workplace premises are of adequate size and have adequate heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation.

BEST will implement fair educational programs, maximise the participation of students and will provide a culturally inclusive environment. It will assist students to access support and guidance services that cannot be offered internally. Inappropriate behaviours will not be tolerated.


Your BEST Trainer and Assessor will conduct an induction at the beginning of each course. The induction will include introductions, housekeeping responsibilities, emergency evacuation (particular to the training venue) assessment requirements, course structure and student responsibilities (some are listed below):

  • To arrive at your chosen course at least 15 minutes before the start of training
  • Signed student agreement will be collected and photographic ID will be sighted before the course starts
  • To attend every class and  inform BEST office staff of any non-attendance


BEST recognises that some students require more assistance than others. If you feel you need any extra support in the areas of language literacy and numeracy please contact BEST staff to discuss your needs.

Additional support fee for service may be available in the areas such as:

  • Remedial class
  • Community English as a second language tuition programs
  • One on one coaching, tuition and support
  • Individual learning plan development

Workplace Health and Safety

BEST is compliant in its policy and procedures to the Occupational Safety and Health Act (1984) and where required the Workplace Health and Safety Act of each State and Territory and associated regulations. An incident report form is provided to all Trainers and Assessors and if in the case of an incident it will be completed and returned to BEST’s head office as soon as practicable.

BEST does not permit smoking or the consumption of alcohol or other drugs on any of its premises during training.

First aid

Students are asked to inform BEST, upon enrolment, of any medical conditions or support requirements. Injuries or accidents should be reported to your trainer immediately.


We understand the importance that you place on your privacy and personal information. As such we take your privacy very seriously and comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act (1988) and where they apply to our dealings with you the student.
